1951 Bowman Ted Williams

At first, I thought it was a baseball.

It isn't. It's a chunk of paper missing from above Ted's right eye.

I once saw Ted Williams in person. By then, though, he was in a wheelchair and frail. This card shows him in his prime – possibly the game's greatest hitter.
